It’s about time I tell you some stuff about me. Enjoy :)

•I’m somewhere in the middle of type A and Type B and I kinda love it. I think they call it type C?
•Reality tv is all I’m capable of watching, anything else takes way too much energy. Don’t even ask me to watch a movie with you, I just can’t do it.
•Im a listener not a talker (unless I’m with the girls 🤪)
•I’m an old-soul, in bed by 8pm kinda gal.
•I started reading nonfiction books again thanks to my gal Bekah.
•I have my first coffee at 5:00am and my second one by 7am. If I’m acting crazy during your session that means I continued and had a third 👀
•Recently I realized that I actually love winter. It’s beautiful fun nostalgic and refreshing.
•I need tips on how to work from home while having 2 kids crawling on me all day🥲
•Oh and my Spotify listening age this year was 90 yrs 🫣 Randy Newman is everything>

Because I get to spend time with people who are this happy allll daaaayy looonngg🤩 Oh, and while I have your attention, I need you to know: I want you to be able to relive every smile you smiled, tear you shed, and laugh you laughed as you look through your final gallery. So, on your day, feel your feelings, don’t hold back and be present. The rest is up to me.

Do you want to know what made it so magical?

It’s simple. Quin and Tyler didn’t just plan the most beautiful wedding with the most perfect decorations. These two were genuinely happy and completely themselves the whole day. They let go of the small stuff and had fun. Quin and Tyler were completely present with each other and their guests, allowing the vendors (including their MCs) to do their jobs to help make the day run smoothly. They were not hosts on that day, they were the guests of honour and that’s how it should be.

This day was MAGIC.

Do you want to know what made it so magical?

It’s simple. Quin and Tyler didn’t just plan the most beautiful wedding with the most perfect decorations. These two were genuinely happy and completely themselves the whole day. I wish we took a minute during the ceremony to look out at all of our guests. To appreciate each of them for sitting outside in 30 degree weather. 🫶🏼

I wish we took 10 minutes alone after the ceremony to breathe and soak it all in.

& I wish we got a group photo with all of our guests before the dance started!! I recently did this at a wedding and thought it was so genius. To have a group photo with everyone you love is incredible + it gets everyone onto the dance floor 🤪

I have recently discovered the power in not posing kids when photographing them.

I let them explore and play, and I guide parents in following their lead. This is where the magic happens & when memories are made.

So parents, get interested in what your kids are doing and play with them. Once the session is turned into play time is when I begin capturing the family authentically.

The objective isn’t just to take pretty pictures but to capture this exciting stage in your life, as you spend time with your family and be yourselves. Family photos are not about capturing the perfect moment because families are not perfect. I aim to capture the in between moments. I can’t give you any guarantees of what we will capture, but I do know the images will bring you lasting memories.

The last thing I want is for you to remember these photos as a stressful time, it should be easy going, playful and simple which I why I do not pose kids.

As a new mom learning to embrace the mess and see it as a blessing, I’m here to tell you that you don’t need to have the most perfect house in order to do an in home session. Our memories live in our photos, and my question for you is, do you want to remember your family photos as a total gong show because of the chaos you go through before hand? Or do you want to remember you family photos as the most important years of your life? A fun and playful memory.

Mess is not something to be ashamed of and I bet if there’s a little bit of a mess left behind in your photos, it’ll spark conversation later in life. When your kids look back at photos, it’s the games in the background and the cookies on the counter that will bring back core memories of their childhood.

& If every part of you doesn’t want professional photos taken, take your own photos of the little moments that you don’t think are important right now, and just wait until your kids are looking back through images and their childhood comes back to life because the photos being taken weren’t picture perfect. Life isn’t picture perfect so why are we caught up in taking picture perfect photos?

I LOVE A GOOD DECLUTTER!! When my phone or social media start to feel overwhelming, I know it’s time for a digital declutter. It feels refreshing to get rid of unnecessary items on your phone and social accounts. Especially for a girl who feels the need to document everything… 😅 Here are a few things that I do to help me!! - Unfollow all the accounts that don’t bring me joy
- Set myself boundaries of app usage (still working on this lol🥴)
- Break my workflow into stages
- Delete all the heavy attachments in my phone
- Delete the apps I don’t use anymore
- Cancel the subscriptions I don’t use
- Delete the old screenshots and duplicate photos (a work in progress LOL iykyk)
